Lincoln School on Grant St.

A photograph of Lincoln Elementary School on Grant St. in Caldwell. This building, as well as Van Buren Elementary School, were both built beginning in late 1940. They are identical buildings and were built by the WPA. The building were finished under special priority despite the halt to construction that came with the bombing of Pearl Harbor. Both buildings were later added on to - those additions were built by Dorsey Construction Company. The Kindergarten was added to Lincoln's building in 1977.
