A photograph of the reconstruction and widening of North 5th St from the railroad to Galveston St. in the summer of 1964. The project was originally undertaken with the understanding that North 5th was to become a part of the freeway feeder system. The road ends at Galveston St. The building (built in 1951) on the right side of the photograph is Dorsey Wood Products and the main office for David Dorsey, contractor.
